The Confederation Line Phase 2 includes an additional 15-km (9.3 mile) west alignment extension with 3.6 km (2.2 mile) of tunnel and 11 new stations, as well as a 12-km (7.5 mile) east extension with 5 new stations. The total additional infrastructure includes 27-km (16.8 mile) of new alignment and 16 new stations. This phase also includes the delivery and maintenance of 38 additional vehicles, the extension of the existing maintenance and storage facility of Phase 1 to house and maintain up to 66 vehicles, and a new light maintenance and storage facility in the west to maintain and store 24 vehicles.
